Write a brief background of your character:
Nancy was born to a fairly wealthy japanese-american family out of Little Tokyo. She was provided for in just about everything she wanted to do, including drawing, music, dancing classes and an expensive private school. She graduated High School with a GPA of 3.9 and decided to head to the east coast for a major in History in Vespucci University, Liberty City.
In Liberty City, Nancy was involved with the re-emerging punk culture out of intellectual circles throughout the early 2000s, along with the fledgeling, decentralized Antifa. Much of their actions were events such as free lunch for the homeless, donating coats for the winter and other social-related events, though some of it was also about fighting bigotry, whether through pressuring institutions and businesses or through more violent methods. Still young and idealistic, Nancy's involvement in the group was generally related to throwing punches against radicalized groups in the far right or, otherwise, making sure events such as the free lunches would keep going smoothly, up until getting a security license in 2004.
Her involvement with Antifa declined at the point that her writing went from amateur to professional. Having been a fiction fan, she used her knowledge in history to make realistic settings of dark fantasy and, under advisement, pitched in her universe to a local publisher, who agreed to publish her. Being faced with a new career opportunity while Antifa was growing more radicalized over time, given its decentralized nature, Nancy stepped back from it as she didn't want her life being taken in that direction. Instead, she focused on writing and, while she still provided security for events such as the free lunch for the homeless, her involvement with extralegal activies was completely cut off at this point.
When faced with graduation, Nancy was faced with the possibility that dealing with a local publisher would be harder than usual. Rather than keep writing her chronicles, she's decided to strike a license deal with them: they would get to keep the rights of the dark fantasy universe created, including allowing other writers to write chronicles about it, and Nancy would get royalties from the intellectual property of it, though no other rights. Though she lost artistic freedom, she's started gaining a modicum of financial independance at this point, enough to begin working on other IPs of her own.
Upon returning to Los Santos, Nancy lived a fairly modest life out of her own financial situation, having no further need of being provided for by her family. The royalties weren't stable, but they were enough for a decent lifestyle. However, as she started making plans to increase her family core, the royalties weren't enough anymore, and she was in need of more - and more stable - income, prompting her to turn to a field she had a modicum of experience in while still being able to work on her own IPs at a schedule of her choosing.
