LEGAL COUNSEL
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be an articulate, decisive, and highly motivated individual who possesses excellent political acumen and awareness. Being able to thoroughly research and analyze problems, evaluate but not fear risk, develop sound conclusions and decisive recommendations, as well as having the ability to intelligently explain legal concepts to different levels of audiences in a clear and direct manner.
- Acting as primary point-of-contact for all SAAA bureaus on legal matters and representing the SAAA in court to argue cases.
- Drafting and file motions and petitions, resolutions, regulations, special legislation, ordinances, contracts.
- Receiving and responding to legal questions and research requests from all bureaus of SAAA. Preparing staff of any judicial hearings.
- Consulting with District Attorney office and outside counsel retained by any bureau departments as appropriate.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
You must meet the following requirements in order to apply for the position:
- Must have a San Andreas Bar License
- Must have a Juris Doctorate from a law school accredited by the American Association of Law Schools and extensive experience practicing law OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a clean criminal record (no felonies or misdemeanors)
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America
- Must possess a valid driving license
(( OUT OF CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must ensure they meet the following out of character requirements:
- 20 hours of playtime on any character on their User Control Panel.
- No administrative punishment within the last two months of application posting.
- A forum name in the format of "Firstname Lastname" (e.g., "John Doe").
- May only possess one forum account on the SAAA's website. Individuals who have more than one forum account must apply with their main forum account. If you do not have access to your account, contact Executive Staff for help with recovery.
- A fluent understanding of the English language, both in text and in voice.
- The ability to accurately portray and develop a realistic character.
- The possession of any double faction permissions, if applicable.
- Your out-of-character background story must be completely written by you and only you, specifically for the purpose of joining the faction.
