APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT

AIRCRAFT MECHANIC

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Maintaining turbine helicopters and fixed wing aircraft within the SAAA: aircrafts, aircraft engines, aircraft components according to all specifications.
  • Diagnosing, evaluating, and recording aircraft maintenance problems, and reporting as necessary; maintaining parts inventory and order parts through a computerized inventory system.
  • Performing cleaning, servicing, and major and minor aircraft repairs and modifications; test engines and electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems using gauges and other testing equipment.
  • A wide variety of duties are performed such as dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding and erecting all parts of an aircraft; which includes airframe, engines, radio equipment, instruments, electrical systems, heating systems, cooling systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Documenting maintenance procedures to include component damage, component origin, and condition of component, components or equipment. Practicing safety conscious behaviors in all operational process and procedures
  • Dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools and fitting parts.
  • Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.
  • Ordering replacement parts from vendors or sending parts for refurbishment.
  • Reassembling machines and making all necessary adjustments for operation.
  • Recording repair process and preparing written specifications for major repairs.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

You must meet the following requirements in order to apply for the position:
  • Must have a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
  • Must have a bachelor's degree programs are available in disciplines related to aviation technology and management, or at least 18 months of training from an FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school with a year previous job experience
  • Must have a clean criminal record (no felonies or misdemeanors)
  • Must be a citizen of the United States of America
  • Must possess a valid driving license
  • Must have a valid United States passport
  • Must have ability to lift parts up to 70 pounds, climb inside equipment, climb ladders, bend over, squat, and work in tight spaces or areas which are not environmentally controlled


(( OUT OF CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must ensure they meet the following out of character requirements:
  • 20 hours of playtime on any character on their User Control Panel.
  • No administrative punishment within the last two months of application posting.
  • A forum name in the format of "Firstname Lastname" (e.g., "John Doe").
  • May only possess one forum account on the SAAA's website. Individuals who have more than one forum account must apply with their main forum account. If you do not have access to your account, contact Executive Staff for help with recovery.
  • A fluent understanding of the English language, both in text and in voice.
  • The ability to accurately portray and develop a realistic character.
  • The possession of any double faction permissions, if applicable.
  • Your out-of-character background story must be completely written by you and only you, specifically for the purpose of joining the faction.
  • The use of truthful, accurate, and thorough answers in their application. ))
